There will be adventures in life. There will be love in life. There will be happiness in life. There will be sorrow in life. There will be hatred in life. There will be envy in life. There will be all six. All six of these elements will be thrown at you. But if one of them is a knife, just duck or move to the side. - Grace Gordon

day 5: a picture of somewhere you've been
This was one of my favorite vacations! I would love to go back to Washington DC. This is the National Mall if you can't tell, btw.
That was an excellent vacation. I want to take Robyn back sometime. I think now that I've studied history a lot more it would mean a lot more to me this time around.
If we spent more time in DC then, I don't think I would have appreciated it as much. It's a trip I would love to do with the family, but I think I'd enjoy just going on my own sometime.
DC was a great place. It felt so full of stories of people who were there before. I was really struck by the Vietnam wall. Amazing! I also fell in love with New York. Its almost as if the air is full of excitement in New York. It really is the city that never sleeps. Jen-Germany was awesome too. Glad we got to go.

ReplyDeleteI wish we could have spent two weeks in DC. I want to go back. I love the history...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vacation would have to be Germany. It was amazing to walk into a church that was four times as old as this country. Just awesome!
